RED DAY “I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.” Chuang Tzu, philosopher ALL SCHOOL HIGH SCHOOL Student Council Meeting today at lunch in the Business Lab Senior Trip deposits are due today to Mrs. Sullivan. Due to a generous donation from a community member, there is a scholarship opportunity for 2 or more students available to any High School student interested in going on the China trip this July. These funds are available to all High School students not just those who have already signed up for the trip, and could cover up to 90% of the total cost of $3300. The MA Scholarship Committee will determine the final distribution of funds and financial need will to be one of the criteria. Students interested should see Ms. Eckert for a scholarship application and more information. MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETICS Yesterday Hockey defeated Somersworth/Coe-Brown 2-1 Varsity Girls Basketball lost to Inter-Lakes 33-26. Carlee Morgan with 12 points. Middle Level B Girls Basketball lost to Kennett 21-12. Briana Hanmer with 10 rebounds and 3 steals. Middle Level A Girls Basketball lost to the Eagles 23-17. Middle Level B Boys picked up a victory against Kennett, while the A team lost. Eli Chapman, Simon Porusta, Gabriel Pooler, and Max Ringelstein helped lead the way. MA Middle Level Alpine Team finished 5th in a very competitive race against the top middle level racers in the North Country. For the girls, Elise Stewart (11th in SL, 12th GS) led the way, with strong performances by Katie Anderson, Grace Burton and Abby Bryant all scoring. The boys were led by Michael Sousa (12th in SL) with Daniel Phillips, Andrew Stokke, Ethan Larson, and Mason Foreman all scoring for the boys. Today Varsity Girls/Boys Basketball at Derryfield, bus departs at 3:00.
